Blood Champion

Opposites attract books with supernaturals are so fun. This is no different. Ryder and Jane's entwined destiny is a very good story. They are likable characters and the world created for them is very well thought out. The reason for the four and not five stars is due to the character development. They didn't seem well formed as of yet. They both needed a tad more backstory for my complete liking. That being said, it was still a very good read and I look forward to the next book.

My introduction to Kay Widow’s writing was Bloody Billionaire’s Baby. After reading it, I was looking for some more vampires and when I saw Blood Inheritance on Book Sirens, I snapped it up. I think of Blood Inheritance as a vampiric twist of Pretty Woman. Ezra is looking for a human to help him die and in return she will receive his fortune. He is done with ‘living’. He chose Lydia Francesca DeSilva. Someone good and pure. Young and healthy. Ambitious but not self serving. Intelligent, but not pretentious. It’s a lot to ask of someone, but I have high hopes this time. The description is spot on. She is a twenty one year old virgin with some fabulous friends. She is everything he is looking for and more. In this 210 page story, Kay Widow has packed a lot. The romance is slow burning. Her sweetness and openness got me wrapped up in the romance. I had moments of sadness and moments of happiness. Will she be able to give him a reason for living? I have more I would like to share, but I feel less is more. I think we know where the story will go, but it is the wonderful journey that makes me want to read more of Kay Widow’s work.

4 1/2 stars - A good enjoyable read that's about Laurent our vampire and Julia our human. Laurent saves Julia from a stalker and takes her home. Now Laurent has to hide what he is from Julia as he fights his cravings that is getting worse while she recovers from being stabbed by the stalker. They get closer together as the engaging story involves with action and romance. Is Julia the one that his Oracle told him about? Will the prophecy be fulfilled?

I enjoyed this story. Darius & Amber's story was a bit different than the vampire stories I've read. Will Amber it together in time or will Darius's charm distract her? If you're looking for a short vampire romance to read whilst having a coffee look no further.

This book started off slow in a world of vampires unlike those we traditionally know. Sophia is a spitfire female that takes nothing from nobody. I would have liked to see a little more character development in her but Marcel was spot on.

This is a story of revenge, and unfortunately, an innocent female is the one who is used as a pawn in Marcel Corrigan's plan. His family had been murdered and he went after Damon to enact his vengeance. Sophia Cohen had the misfortune of being sold to Damon by her father and will be the bait Marcel uses to lure his enemy in.
